Chainmail gained popularity throughout the Middle Ages and Renaissance periods as a protection against sharp weaponry in battle. This black chainmail set is extremely heavy and fully wearable. Please note that it comes in a protective oil that will need to be removed prior to wearing. They are a great example of the styles worn by Knights in the 15th and 16th centuries
